About this site
This site was built by JB Corso,
a published author who holds a
passion for seeing other authors
succeed.
This site is meant to be a
one-stop-shop for writing
education in hopes of
improving the quality of
literature for the
next 1000 generations.
I'm not doing sponsorships at
this time.
Any website, book, and/or
product is my personal
recommendation and should be
considered as one person's
experience with those.
That being said, I've a high
standard for anything posted
about.
Hit me up if you have comments
and/or questions.

My Passion
I've been writing since I wore
short pants and have been
pumping out poetry and
short stories since then.
My passion is to make stories
into masterpieces and I enjoy
helping other writers blossom
their first drafts into
publishable prose.
About me
My name is JB Corso. I've been
living out my passion as an
internationally published writer.
Where I've received so much
encouragement, support, and
guidance from family and
friends, alike, this website is my
giving back towards helping
other writers find their full
potential. My goal is to give
every writer I come across a
chance to reach their authorship
goals.

Here comes the thank you train...
Pease take a bow:
Mom - you nurtured my spark to create stories, probably after hours of watching my overactive imagination (plus, you helped me write and publish my first story "The Fight" which won 2nd Place in grade school)
Bev - you've been my ultimate cheerleader for so many years; I don't have the language to thank you enough for everything you've brought to me, especially being honest when my eye wasn't able to see the errors in my prose
Robin - you've given me so much space and ability to pursue my passion, and while I can't share most of my horror stories with you, you've always been there when I've needed support; you're literally the reason I've been able to succeed!
Tori & MJ - you've inspired me with your antics, questions, and imaginations; thank you for your patience as I've filled our time with writing discussion
Tori - you've got the brain of a genius and the curiosity of a mad scientist, you always keep me improving
MJ - you're an amazing author on your own who's questioning everything makes me a better person all around
Caitlin - you've always kept my ego honest and made sure the hard truths about what I write were as clear as a blue sky
While there isn't enough digital space to thank everyone else, a couple honorable mentions:
Zee - thank you!
Melanie F - thank you!
Stephanie A - thank you!
Lydia D - thank you!
Jaime Z - thank you!
Maureen Z - thank you!

Some info about my writing process
My story development typically happens at my desk first thing in the morning:
While everyone has their preference for when and where to write, I prefer the mornings at my desk.
I have a tall glass of flavored water to get the brain juices going and fruit for some top o' the morning refreshment.
I do my best to avoid busy work, though on a slower project day, sometimes it's just easier to get the emails, etc. out.
I prefer to begin my writing with a warm up into a non-publishable story unless the writing urge is strong enough, then let's go!
Sometimes some music is in order to get the creativity moving along. Here's some of my "writing only" music (songs to be listened to only when writing inspiration is needed):
Motivational Speech - "I am a Champion"
Dr. Dre - "Next Episode"
Tech N9ne - "Worldwide Choppers"
DJ Khaled - "All I do is Win"
Kanye - "All of the Lights"
Kid Rock - "Cowboy"
Motivational Speech - "I am a Champion"
Kanye - "Stronger"
Bliss n Eso - "Tear the Roof Off"
Fort Minor - "Remember the Name"
